Live Happy Meet the team

We are so proud of our Live Happy team and have worked really hard to ensure we have delivered not only the most suitable and best in class consultants, we are also a genuinely nice bunch of people.

We all love what we do, we’re super passionate and we all understand how you feel.

Our job is to help you! We are here for you and we look forward to you joining our community.

All of the Live Happy Team are ex-corporate professionals across different industries: from Advertising to Law to IT Sales and everything in between. We believe that to truly understand how to help someone you need to have experienced it yourself. We have all had a desk-based job, we all have family and homes to run and know how hard it is to keep everything under control, especially your own health.

Rebecca

Live Happy Founder, Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Qualifications:

– NASM Level 3 Personal Trainer
– AfN Level 4 Nutrition Coach
– AFAA Qualified Pilates Instructor
– BSc (hons) in Business Management

13 years ex. creative agency group account director, co-owner of a marketing recruitment agency, owner of fitness company Work In Your Work Out, wife to Sam and mum to two crazy boys, Charlie and Harry, and their dog, Teddy!

If I’m completely honest with myself, the thing that makes me happy is doing a good job. Whether that’s with my clients, with the success of my company, with bringing up my children and ensuring they are happy or with making sure we all have a nice house to live in. I am also very happy when I am on holiday in the sunshine but, of course, I need my phone, laptop and a gym nearby.

I literally LOVE my job! I consider myself a very lucky person to have such a wonderful set of clients and team around me. I am very proud of my gym in Hurley and I get a massive amount of satisfaction in seeing the people I work with progressing and achieving. I work very hard but I don’t view it as hard work, I view it as a continuous journey down a very interesting path.

I have to say one of my brand colours - orange! Bright, cheerful and slightly mad.

Zoe

Personal Trainer and Nutrition Advisor

Qualifications:

– NASM/Active IQ Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing, Personal Training & Nutrition Advice (Premier Global)
– NASM/Active IQ Level 3 Award Supporting Pre and Postnatal Clients
– BA (hons) in English Literature
– MA in Medieval Studies
– 4 years PhD work in Art History

In addition to being a PT for Live Happy, I also help behind the scenes with content management and creation.

I enjoy spending time outdoors and getting lost in a book, as well as eating and travelling with my husband. Laughing with my family and friends always makes me feel brighter. I’m passionate about learning, as well as running, whatever the weather!

I spent a long time working in jobs that didn’t fulfil me and left me feeling drained. Almost as soon as I started to study to be a personal trainer, I felt passionate and enthusiastic about something and knew it would be the opposite to every job I’ve ever had. Working with people to help them feel their best, finding movement that they enjoy and learning to appreciate all the things their bodies can do gives me so much energy and purpose. I believe that fitness should be fun, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Grass green - I love being outdoors and I thrive on sunshine and lots of water. I always want to learn and grow. I can flourish in challenging places and often need a haircut!

Julian

Personal Trainer

Qualifications:

– Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy (London School of Sports Massage) – Level 3 Personal Trainer (Future Fit Training)
– BA (hons) in French Studies (University of Sussex)
– 25+ corporate business experience in sales & marketing, working principally in agencies and specialising in automotive

Walks with my wife and dogs. Listening to music. Small acts of kindness (helping others and seeing people help others). Healthy exercise. Meeting new challenges and helping clients to meet theirs. Sunshine on my face. Laughing with friends. French holidays. Children telling me they enjoy my book, ‘The Brilliant Fish and the Clumsy Octopus’.

I feel a commitment to help people stay healthy and fit as long as they can. Generally, it’s never too late to do something about improving levels of fitness, mobility and general wellbeing, and sometimes just the smallest of changes can make a massive difference. I feel a great sense of achievement and value when clients tell me that my classes or treatments have genuinely ‘made a difference’ for them, whether that’s achieving specific fitness goals, raising performance levels, improving mobility or simply ‘feeling better’ in themselves.

Definitely towards the bluer end of the spectrum. Blue feels more calming to me and colour analysis experts say associated qualities include: depth, stability, wisdom, trust, confidence; not saying all of these apply to me, but they’re good to aspire to!

Paul

Personal Trainer

Qualifications:

– Level 2 Gym Instructor (Premier Global)
– Level 3 Personal Trainer (Premier Global)

Functional screening, postural analysis, various kb, animal flow (Future Fit, YMCA).

Managing director at Paul Pidgeon fitness, Head PT at Fit6, Head of Performance at the Academy of Education, combined strength coach.

My main sources of happiness are the two F’s... family and fitness. My wife, Bev, and sons, Alfie and Maxwell, are my world and I love going on adventures with them. I love seeing my clients making progress and hitting their goals and I also love to put myself in the bin, be it a horrendous session in the gym, a hike out in the Chilterns or a thrash out on my mountain bike.

I enjoy the problem solving element of fitness. I love helping people and seeing them excel. Seeing someone hit a weight goal or one of my fighters get in the ring is an amazing buzz for me.

Orange, because I’m bright, positive and I love the fruit.

Lorenz

Personal Trainer

Qualifications:

Level 2 Certificate Fitness instructor and Kettlebell qualification, Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise.

Lorenz also works with corporate professionals helping to provide guidance and knowledge on corrective exercises to improve posture.

Previous to Personal Training he worked for an intellectual property translation company.

Spending time with my family and friends and cooking food with them. My best dish is probably a chicken teriyaki donburi bowl. I have always been family orientated so for me family time is non-negotiable.

The reason I do my job is because I take great pride and joy from seeing someone start a journey to become a better version of themselves. The best part is I play a role in guiding them to it.

Yellow, because it reminds me of the beautiful sunflower fields I used to see on my grandparents’ farm.

Ify

Yoga Instructor, Nutritionist & Wellbeing Coach

Qualifications:

After graduating from the University of Reading with a BA Honours degree in Philosophy, I followed my first passion and landed myself my dream job in fashion, where I worked for over 10 years as a fashion buyer for one of the UK’s most successful retailers. Exhausted from the long work hours, crowded commutes, eating on the run and impossibly high-stress levels, I witnessed first-hand the amazing power of nutritional therapy. This prompted a career change. I studied nutrition for three years, gaining a Diploma in Holistic Naturopathic Nutritional Practice. With the knowledge that taking a holistic approach to wellbeing would lead to more profound and longer-lasting results, I also gained a 250hr Yoga Alliance certified teacher training qualification.

By fully integrating yoga and nutrition, I can offer my clients a much more balanced and well-rounded approach on their journey to better health.

As well as working with individuals, I also enjoy working with companies to support the implementation of their wellbeing strategy and action plans such as LEON Restaurants and Bellevie Care.

I am a full registered member of Naturopathic Nutrition Association, General Naturopathic Council and Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Weekend walks in the countryside with the kids and a pub lunch at the end. A delicious glass of red wine with good friends around the table. Visiting my sister in Paris, walking the streets, soaking in the beauty. A mooch around Selfridges with my daughter or a friend. An early morning yoga session! Tending to our tiny allotment, teaching the kids where food comes from whilst eating our three homegrown strawberries!

I believe the best medicine is at the end of our forks. Faddish diets are not the answer nor sustainable in the long term. I love seeing the transformation in my clients when they take the time and invest in themselves, whether it is digestive issues, bloating, skin complaints or simply low energy – the results can be quite literally life-changing and that is what inspires me. What is more important than good health?

Blue - I am calm, trustworthy, focused, loyal and strong. Like the colour blue, I value tranquillity and peace of mind.

Samantha

Yoga & Pilates Instructor

Qualifications:

– 300hr Vinyasa Flow yoga
– 200hr Hatha yoga
– 200hr Yin yoga
– Polestar Mat Pilates
– 85hr Pre and Post-natal yoga

Prior to that I did my BSc (Hons) Business Administration and spent 11 years as a portfolio manager for BlackRock asset management.

I’m currently completing my BSc Physiotherapy degree, learning even more about the wonder that is the human body. I’m loving the experience as a mature student and excited for this new chapter. I’m without doubt a life-long learner!

Over the last few years it’s definitely become about the simple things for me. My morning coffee, a long walk in green fields, smooth nut butter, the feeling of the sun on my face, a hug with someone I love or getting drawn into a really good library book.

There’s nothing more rewarding than encouraging people to take time out of their busy day to move their body and focus back in on themselves. It’s a privilege to help others tune into their body and help them feel physically and mentally stronger.

A tricky question but it would have to be a vivid blue. It’s my favourite colour to wear and nothing beats a clear blue sky.

Oreke

Nutritionist & Wellbeing Coach

Qualifications:

– Qualified Nutrition Adviser
– Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification
– BA Hons Business Management with Law
– Model on ITV Lorraine Show, Wellbeing Ambassador for Leon restaurants and Wing Chun & Qigong practitioner

Time with my children. I have learnt the most life lessons from my children, the biggest being how to love selflessly. I love going for long runs with great music on my headphones. Spending time alone to recharge and meditate, eating great food that nourishes me on the inside as well as the outside. Being in the sun, helping others achieve their wellbeing goals and long conversations with my mother - she has so much wisdom.

Because I love helping others, I am a natural helper and it gives me the greatest satisfaction seeing someone improve their life with my help. I am passionate about all aspects of fitness and nutrition. My goal is to share my passion and extensive knowledge with others who aim to improve their overall health and wellbeing. With my ability to deeply connect and engage with people, I am an asset to any one looking to improve their health.

I would be gold because I am a great asset in my friendships, my work, my family. I am a very loyal friend and once you have me by your side I am reliable, durable, strong and valuable just like gold.

Kate

Mental Health & Meditation Consultant

Qualifications:

I am a qualified Mindfulness Coach (accredited by Zenways) and Meditation teacher (accredited by the Yoga Alliance Professionals.)

I teach all sorts of classes, workshops and longer 8-week courses to private individuals and to corporations. I speak about mindfulness and other associated topics, and I am passionate about creating retreats for people to find stillness and community.

Since embarking on my mindfulness wellbeing journey, I have noticed how very small simple things make me genuinely happy. Being able to absorb myself in something that many would regard as mundane puts a real smile on my face. And it makes me laugh when I notice myself smiling as I’m putting the bin out! I am happy to be able to experience this moment, and the joy that brings doesn’t stop being remarkable. It’s also something that I would have thought was plain ridiculous before I started experiencing mindfulness for myself. Oh, and I’m also rather fond of marmite and dachshunds.

I do this job because I want to use every opportunity I can to help others discover the tools that I wish I’d had when I was working in the corporate sector. My lifestyle led to a classic burnout situation and was completely unsustainable. Life can be demanding but with the right skills we can thrive in all sorts of conditions; we often underestimate or don’t know how to tap into our inner resilience. Nothing gives me more job satisfaction than hearing my clients tell me that their lives have been transformed for the better just by implementing really simple techniques!

I’m drawn to bright colours, but I particularly like green. Perhaps that’s because I enjoy spending time outside and nature has a way of putting things in perspective for us but also being very calming.

Bliss

Chef

Qualifications:

Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing mentored by Tai Lopez.

Seven years as a professional footballer.

I am a self-taught, private gourmet chef. I am also the owner and creative director of AAD marketing solutions. I pride myself on my attention to fine detail and my willingness to try anything new.

I love cooking, especially with my children; they are so intrigued about learning how to cook and be creative with their food ideas. This makes me extremely happy and sparks my own imagination regularly.

Being a private gourmet chef allows me the licence to be extremely creative, from creating new dishes with an idea/theme for my bespoke menu and/ or brushing up on my plating techniques. The best feeling is when a client is visibly excited, when served with a well presented/detailed and unique plate. Then when the flavours emerge with their tastebuds, the subtle nodding of the head and an unconscious beam of excitement. The satisfaction of others, in the food that I have prepared is the reason that I do, and love what I do.

Sea blue: the colour associated with calm, trustworthiness and confidence. I think this embodies me perfectly, especially within my roles as a chef and a business owner.

Sara

Mental Health Consultant and First Aider

Qualifications:

I am a Mental Health First Aider accredited by Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) and Time to Change Champion.

I am a mental health advocate and promote improving wellbeing standards in the workplace through my community organisation Marcom Minds CIC, having run two well-being committees in previous roles. I speak about coping strategies, managing wellness and mental health and challenging the distinction between mental and physical health.

Since educating myself more on my own lived experiences, I get a great sense of purpose from helping others to cope, and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health. Just like physical health, we all have mental health. The brain after all is an organ, and understanding more about its triggers makes me happier in myself. And one of the things that makes me happy every day is walking with my accredited therapy dog, Sunny.

Reducing the stigma of mental health is something I feel compelled to do. It is part of me. I want to play a part in being the first generation in history to help achieve parity between mental health and physical health, in terms of understanding and treatment. We can all take proactive steps to improve our wellbeing and sense of purpose, even in uncertain times like this.

I am always drawn to the colour green. To me it extolls brightness, nature, and energy. As a Geography and International Development graduate, I find a strong sense of grounding from the environment, and I think it can provide a great sense of hope and connection. There is an intense beauty in the cycle of change that the seasons provide, but Spring is always my personal favourite.

Nature, it’s the place I feel most at peace. I have always been very sensitive to energy and nature is the place where I feel the most harmony.

The sense of accomplishment when I see someone leave my therapy room a different person to the one that walked in. Life can be tough and stressful and I love helping people find a meaningful way through it. I have designed the therapy I offer to have the greatest impact in the shortest time and it is wonderful watching people break through the barriers of their own limiting beliefs. I feel a great privilege in witnessing that process.

Light blue, I am light and genuine and get very enthusiastic about the work I do. I love limitless skies and love being near water. My ideal weekend is wading through streams in my wellies with my water obsessed golden retriever.
